It's spring, it's strawberry and rhubarb season!

It's spring, which means the great season for strawberry and rhubarb. I grew up in Japan and I didn't know about the existence of rhubarb until when I was 23 years old. When I tried the combination of strawberry and rhubarb for the first time, I thought it was just a perfect sweet'n sour-ness! This strawberry rhubarb bar in the photo above contains buttery crust both on top and bottom, and diced up strawberry and rhubarb coated with soft custard cream. It's absolutely delicious!
